About Duquesa |
Duquesa or Puerto de la Duquesa literally mean the "The Port of the Duchess". Built at a similar time to Puerto Banus, this sports marina is very lively and cosmopolitan. It entertains during the evening with an array of cuisines including Indian, Chinese, French, Spanish, English and Mexican. The port has a gym, hairdressers, shops and yacht brokers.
Duquesa has been hugely popular over the last 6 years and has been transformed from a sleepy little port, with a golf course close by, to a new vibrant area, with commercials and shops springing up everywhere. Duquesa is an area of Manilva and is close to a small fishing town, Sabinillas which has also seen massive growth over the last 3 years. This is a relatively new area and so can some times be seen as a bit of a building site, but once finished this area will see large tourist traffic as its potential gets more exposure.
A number o year ago the main road to this are was single lane and as such many people did not even know that it existed, once the new road went in prices shot up 30% and property was being snapped up at a very quick rate!
Duquesa is also central
to the Costa del Sol and is 15 minutes drive to Alcaidesa and
5-10 mintues drive to
