Costa de la Luz Property for sale
Property in the Costa De La Luz is
attracting more interest from the Northern European market. "The
Coast Of Light" takes it name from the pure light that touches
the rolling dunes and amazing cliffs that characterize its wild
and unspoilt scenic coastline. It covers two main provinces, Huelva
and Cadiz but is known as the "Spanish Algarve" due to
its proximity to Portugal, however, it can boast significantly
lower property prices than its next-door neighbour. Midway between
lays the Donana national park, which is the most interesting bird
and wildlife sanctuary in Europe. Ayamonte sits very close to the
border. Islantilla has a beautiful golf course for all levels of
golfer!
Like the rest of Spain’s Costa’s,
this one is no different in its proximity to rich cultural cities,
the superbly historic cities of Seville and Cadiz are full of Spanish
charm and Jerez de la Frontera enjoys a more colonial atmosphere.
Further down the coast, the Portuguese influence is evident in
the picturesque town of Isla
Cristina.
It is clear why this is a favourite summer haunt of the Madrilenos and Sevillanos,

de la Luz has a stunning natural coastline offering long stretches of beach or secret hidden coves with an Atlantic breeze that keeps the oppressive summer temperatures pleasantly balmy. The province of Cadiz has many inviting coastal and inland areas including the increasingly popular and diverse "Chiclana" whose surroundings include the Magnificent Blue Flag La Barossa beach area, quite an established Spanish tourist area that includes bars, restaurants and a commercial centre. This beautiful beach is considered one of the best on the Andalucían coast and stretches along eight kilometres of fine, clean sand. The small town of Sancti- Petri lies on the other side of La Barossa beach and has a very picturesque harbour, home to many brightly coloured fishing and sailing boats once the village hub where fishermen hauled in their Tuna catches. Today, the harbour with its fishing ports, yacht clubs and sailing schools also offers fabulous views over to the town of San Fernando. A small jetty is also the departure for sea excursions to go whale watching off the Tarifa coast. Close by there is a developing urbanisation named "Novo Sancti-Petri" another tourist area and sports complex with good standard hotels, golf and riding clubs as well as a commercial centre. The beach of Sancti-Petri is two kilometres long and is situated opposite the little island of the same name. The future of Sancti Petri lies in the development of the Tuna factories to create visitor amenities including bars and restaurants which will surely turn this area into a very sought after location.
There has been virtually no property promotion in the Costa de la Luz, with only a handful of developers building under restrictions placed by the government in a deliberate attempt to divert it from a similar fate from its neighbouring resorts. For those looking for a good medium term property investment in the Costa de la Luz and looking for a more Spanish feel to their lifestyle, the Costa de la Luz offers an attractive proposition. Spainrealestate.co.uk has a varied selection of property for sale in the Costa de la Luz.
