Fuerteventura Property for sale
Fuerteventura is classed as a semi-desert island in the Atlantic Ocean. Part of the archipelago of the Canary Islands, it is the longest measuring 98km from furthest points. It has a similar climate to the mainland of Morocco with little rainfall and rocky sparse and arid interior, with typically Spanish white washed villages. The climate is beautiful with average temperatures between 17 to 25 degrees.
Fuerteventura is renowned for some of the best long sandy beaches and huge sand dunes in Europe. Its fiery volcanic past has long since been quiet, the last volcanic eruption happened over 7000 years ago.
Water sports are a great feature of this island and every July hundreds of windsurfers, surfers and divers descend on the island to take part in the P.W.A world windsurfing speed and slalom events. The island also offers a Zoo, aqua park, marine trips including fishing and golf courses.
