Keen investor interest has seen the Morocco Property market spring into life in 2006.
Like in the old days of the Spanish Property market it is worth getting a lawyer to check whether a developer has the deeds of the land and license to build on it.
Morocco has three main investment areas for the foreign investor/buyer. Marina Smir and its surrounding area in the province of Tetuoan and Saidia in the northeast opposite Almeria in Spain and Tangier on the north Atlantic coast are the three main hotspots. Properties are available in many other areas including the expensive Marrakech and Agadir in the far south of Morocco.
Many Property companies based in Spain and particularly on the Costa del Sol are now offering properties in Morocco and have local knowledge about both countries.
Morocco has put in place a 10 year “blue plan” which aims to atrract a significant increase in tourism to Morocco and in particular the north. This is set to increase property prices as more and more visitors come to sample the delights of Morocco.
It is always recommended that when you purchase a property in Morocco that you seek the assistance of a professional real estate agent or simsaar.
